International Karate do Goju Kai and All Japan Karate do Goju
Kai is Goshi Yamaguchi 8th Dan.
Goshi (Hirofumi) Yamaguchi was born in Shinjing, Manchuria on
September 28, 1942 as the third son of Kaiso (the Founder)
Gogen Yamaguchi. In 1951, at the age of eight, he began
practicing Karate-Do at Senzoku Dojo in Asakusa. He was
promoted to Shodan (first level black belt) in 1957 and to
Nidan (second level black belt) in 1959. In 1962 he became a
Sandan (third level black belt) and an instructor. He entered Nihon University in 1963, majoring in
cinema studies in the Department of Arts. While he was a
student, he had an opportunity to teach karate-do at an
American branch dojo for a year with his brother Gosen.This
Dojo was taken over by another of his older brothers, Norimi
Gosei, in 1967.
After he came back to Japan, he taught in various Goju-ryu dojo.
He graduated from University in 1969, when he became a full
time Shihan (Master) in the head dojo with a view to promote
and develop Goju-ryu Karate-do. He has visited and taught in
more than 60 countries in the world thus far as an authorized
instructor of Goju kai and the IKGA, as well as the All Japan
Karate-do Federation, the Tokyo Karate Federation, and as an
international referee. In 1990 he was appointed to president
of All Japan Karate-Do Gojukai Association, International
Karate-Do Gojukai Association, and designated as Saiko Shihan
(Grand Master) for the two associations.

Jong SHIHAN currently holds the rank of 8th Dan
Shihan SHIHAN, awarded to him by Yamaguchi Goshi Saiko Shihan.
He is chief instructor for Goju-Kai Karate-do in Scandinavia
and is the supervisor for I.K.G.A. (International
Karate-Do-Goju Kai Association) throughout Europe.
Jong SHIHAN began his Budo career in Sydney Australia, in the
early sixties, training in Judo. After several years he came
in contact with and made the transition to Karate. As a result
of dedication and hard training he was soon awarded his black
order to further his knowledge in the Martial Arts he then set
out in the early seventies to travel throughout Asia, the
Middle East and Europe. He studied Kung Fu in Malaysia, and
whilst in Thailand he trained with the Thai-boxers. During his
stay in Middle East he successfully taught karate and in
Europe he competed in and won various international
Semi-contact and traditional tournaments. Eventually he
settled in Sweden where he became a member of the Swedish
national karate team. Due to increasing demands as a teacher
he withdrew from active competition and in 1979 at the age of
36 in order to devote his efforts to teaching and spreading
the art of Goju karate. Under the leadership of De Jong
SHIHAN, Goju-Kai Karate-do has advanced and grown in numbers
throughout Scandinavia. Many of his
students have represented their respective countries and some
have been very successful in international tournaments.Over
the years De Jong SHIHAN has spent considerable time in Japan
studying the way of Goju-Kai Karate-Do under Grand Master
Kaiso Gogen Yamaguchi and his son Saiko Shihan Goshi Yamaguchi
Jong SHIHAN has made karate his way of life, and he can truly
be called an ambassador for the Martial Arts
Gerd Rebicek holds the highest rank in Eastern Europe - 6 Dan.
Sensei Gerd Rebicek obtains very good results in many international
tournaments and championships. He promoted and raised up the level of
IKGA members in Romania from the beginning of '90 years.

Īncepe studiul Karate Do Gojuryu īn 1981 cu instructorii Toma Victor si Stoia Sorin
(care au studiat cu sensei Nasso Gojuryu Karate din cadrul ambasadei Japoniei la acea vreme).
Din anii 90* deschide primul dojo īn calitate de instructor sportiv si participa concomitent la diferite competitii nationale.
Se afiliaza ca membru IKGA īn acelasi an iar apoi īnregistreaza dojo/club IKGA:
- Nippon Fist afiliat IKGA la data de 10 Octombrie 1994
- ACS Sinergia afiliat IKGA la data de 3 August 2000
Membrii din aceste dojo se gasesc acum īn cadrul A.C.S.IKGA Romānia.
